Abby Botnick is a multifaceted performer and creator, excelling as an aerialist, contortionist, dancer, and singer. With a 20-year background spanning circus and theater, she holds degrees in Professional Writing, Drama, and Entertainment Industry Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Abby's diverse experience includes performing for Virgin Voyages, Le Petit Theater in New Orleans, and numerous productions at Carnegie Mellon. She founded Infra Dance Company and has created original short dance films. Her innovative approach blends circus techniques with traditional theater, dance, and music to explore complex themes.
Recently, Abby won 2nd Place in the Emerging Professional category for Lyra at VivaFest. She's currently developing "Washed Away," a contemporary circus production exploring grief through natural disaster survivors' experiences. Abby aims to advance the circus arts scene in South Florida, envisioning a vibrant community of performers and creators contributing to the region's cultural growth.
